Terms & Conditions

The Hive+ community is a space for discussing how to utilise the power of the employee voice through Hive’s platform and services. We’re here to create a space where Hive customers and partners can share knowledge, learn, inspire and connect with one another.

These Terms and Conditions set out some basic rules to ensure that our community remains a safe space where you have the opportunity to speak up and be heard. The rules set out what’s expected of you and what you can expect in return from others.

By accessing the Hive+ website or registering on Hive+ you accept these terms and conditions. Hive reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time at our sole discretion. These terms apply to all your visits to the Hive+ community.

General Guidance

We’re Happy to Help

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to learn how to navigate the community, check out the community FAQs. If you’re seeking formal product support, such as bug reporting, billing issues and the like, try searching our Support Centre or contact our Support Squad. The Hive+ community is a great source of help too: if you can’t find a post on your topic of interest, please go ahead and create one!

Use of our community

• Our moderators will post helpful content but we really want to learn and hear from you! Take a look around and if you see a place where you can add your voice and expertise to an existing conversation or you want to start your own topic please jump in.

• Before you create a post/topic, have a look to see if the subject has already come up and avoid double-posting

• Don’t just post anywhere, try to post in the relevant forum as best as you can. This makes things easier for everyone to find information.

• Be mindful about the information you post - remember that what you post will be available to everyone in the community, as this is a public space.

• Do not use any Hive branded material such as our logo or name as your avatar or username or otherwise attempt to impersonate a Hive employee or moderator when posting on the community.

Be patient, if you’ve asked a question in one location and it hasn’t been answered right away, please don’t ask the same question in multiple locations.

User Registration and Accounts

You must register to use the Hive+ Community. Please refer to the Hive Privacy Policy which sets out how Hive collects, uses and protects personal information. Your use of the Hive+ Community is subject to the Hive Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. The Hive+ community is designed for the employees of Hive customers and Hive partners, i.e., adults, and as such you must be at least 16 years old to participate in the Hive+ community. Users may not own multiple accounts. If the Community Team detects that any user is active under multiple accounts or identities, we may suspend or delete accounts and/or bar access to individuals at our discretion.

Be friendly and Stay Legal

As in life, please treat others with respect and courtesy. Ensure your actions contribute to and don’t detract from the community experience of other users. Your views are welcome, however please keep them professional: don’t swear, make inappropriate jokes or engage in any form of harassment or spamming whether in the community or on any private channel. In particular, don’t post anything unlawful, defamatory, racist, insulting, sexist, pornographic, offensive, discriminatory or that is threatening, harmful or objectionable to third parties. Bear in mind that anything you post can be used by others. You post at your own risk and responsibility. Do not post anything that would infringe on the intellectual property or privacy rights of any person or entity, and do not disclose any confidential information or trade secrets. Don’t post any material that contains viruses or other code aimed at disruption, damage or harm to any software, hardware or data. Don’t do anything that’s illegal under local, national or international laws.

Stay on topic and please don’t Spam

The Hive Community is a service for Hive customers and Hive partners to discuss the Hive ecosystem and services and related topics. Users may not use the forum for other purposes e.g., for commercial activities such as the advertising or sale of products or services, sending commercial messages such as spam, offering games or advertising other chat forums or websites. Please don’t post about personal matters or be abusive about any company or product.

When posting, please don’t change the subject of a discussion to something not intended by the original poster of the relevant thread. Such “off-topic” posting or “hijacking” of threads diminishes the usefulness of the community and is unhelpful to other users. It may result in content being removed, and repeatedly “off-topic” users may be denied access to the community.

Be careful - and don’t share personal or confidential information

Most users on this community are here to help. However, it’s up to you to decide whether to follow another user’s advice or not. User advice is not given on behalf of Hive and we are not responsible for any negative consequences resulting from your choice to follow it. Please exercise caution: if the advice you receive seems wrong or inappropriate, don’t follow it.

Do not share your personal information (e.g., telephone numbers, email addresses, credit card details, etc.) or the personal information belonging to anyone else. Do not post your confidential information or that of any third party (e.g., passwords). The community is essentially a public space: please treat it as such and do not post anything that you do not want to make public.

Access to any password-protected element of the Hive Community is for authorised individuals only and associated passwords and logon details are confidential information. Hive reserves all rights to take legal action against any attempted or actual unauthorised access to password-protected elements of the Hive Community or any other Hive system.

Moderator Actions and Messaging

The Hive Community Team does not usually edit, pre-screen or monitor content posted on Hive+ by the user community. However, Hive does reserve the right, at its sole discretion, to change or remove content and to restrict or remove access of individual users if that is regarded by the team as necessary, e.g., if a user breaches these Terms & Conditions or posts in a way that is otherwise objectionable, harmful, inaccurate or inappropriate.

If you have an issue in relation to moderation, please discuss it only in private with the Moderator or the Community Manager via private message. Do not share or publicly post in relation to Moderator actions. Your private exchanges with the Hive Community Team should not be shared on public forums.

If you have questions or comments about moderator actions or wish to report any content which violates these Terms and Conditions or is otherwise inappropriate, please email our Support Squad being sure to include relevant background information such as the related discussion thread name, etc.
